Notes from the Author:
Many people ask me where the idea came for this book and did it happen to you. While I did borrow from my life, things familiar to me, I did not in fact regale a memoir.
I am a surgical technologist and for those unfamiliar with the operating room, I pass instruments to the surgeons and assist in the absence of an assisting surgeon. (With out the surgeon’s pay of course.)
I came home one night from work with a book idea. I suppose from a day’s babble with surgeons and talk of current events of sex offenders. I ran the idea across my husband who liked it and he encouraged me to write. So I prayed about it, got an answer and began the work.
I never dreamed in a million years I would write a book. I hated term papers in college and loathed the agonizing task of an assignment. When I sat down to write this book the ideas flowed and it was very fun to hear the clack of the keyboard. I was very driven to write. I had three small children at the time and they buzzed around my head, chased each other with fly swats and empty paper towel holders, but it didn’t make me lose my focus.
Will you write another? It is a common question people ask me. If the Lord’s will is my best reply. I have a few stories I dabble with, but I have disciplined myself to see this one all the way through. I am in the business end of “Do Not Boast About Tomorrow” right now, and for those who are unfamiliar with the biz, writing the book is the easy part.
I have had some reviewers say that the scriptures in bold and capitol block scream at you. I wanted to let the reader know by putting in bold when actual scriptures were inserted into the reading. I copied the scriptures as they are written in the Bible. I am very careful with God’s word. I wanted people to see how God’s word is living and active in our lives as Hebrew 4:12 tells us.
